About

Walter

Walter Bowie is an artist, musician, and composer with over 30 years of experience. Inspired by Prince, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis, he brings a portfolio of music full of dynamic funk with jazz undertones. Walter got his start working in music retail outlets – when vinyl records and cassette tapes were popular. Through the years he has worked as a club DJ and served as a music and program director of a radio station. He recently decided to pick up composing music for film and TV because it allows him the artistic freedom to create and produce the music he most enjoys. When he is not composing, Walter serves as a producer for his music ministry, Child of the King. Inspired by his spirituality, influenced by some of music’s greatest artists, and crafted by his own life experiences in and around the music industry – Walter’s sound is modern and contemporary – shaped by the smooth vibes and dynamic grooves of the past.
